I like Art this year because we did projects that take a long time to do and we put a lot of effort into the projects. In 3rd and 4th grade, I just thought of Art as a place where you can draw a picture that you are just going to throw away when you get home. But now it is stuff that we can be proud of. We are not worried about how our artwork looks because you make it feel like however it looks it is still very good. We learned how to draw the different texture and to appreciate art work.

I think art is a way to express your feelings. I learned a lot in Art this year. Last year, I wasn’t taught what things mean; I was just told what to do. You, on the other hand, told us what it meant and helped us with our artwork.

I love Art!! Last year I hated Art because we only drew. This year, I like art because we get more involved, like in doing the clay project. You helped us to learn instead of telling us what to do! Last year, our teacher just said that’s good. Instead, you tell us what we can do to improve our art work.

Art is a very important thing to me. Art is something we will have to do the rest of our lives like our handwriting. I love doodling on paper. You have given me a great feeling about Art. I have learned most of the famous artists and have learned things about them that I find interesting. I want to know more and more about the subject that you taught me. I always thought art was about projects and just having fun, but I learned that it really isn’t. Thank you for what you’ve taught me.
