Art Hour with Caro is a children's art class throughout the school year for children, ages 5 - 13.  Contact Carolyn for the current schedule. You may start at any time.  It is filled with drawing, painting, sculpture and pottery and other art mediums and techniques.

I hope to give children a chance to grow more in their art experience and knowledge. In a smaller environment of 4 students, there are more opportunities for one on one instruction.  The students can pursue more complex and exciting projects which might not be possible in a large classroom.

We use pencil, markers, oil pastels, paints, charcoal, clay and other art mediums to create a variety of projects. Drawing, as in any other thing that you want to learn in life, must be practiced in order to do better, so we practice our drawing skills everyday as we do other projects.

For your child's first art lesson, please call in advance to insure space availability and there are adequate supplies.

Make-up/absence Policy is on the right- Please read!

Art Hours are offered in one month blocks of four 1-hour sessions for $60 per month.  These are in groups of 2 - 4 students.

Private one-to-one lessons with Caro are also available at pre-scheduled times for $20 an hour with a 4 lesson minimum for $80 per month.  Single classes available for $25 an hour

Registration is required and is due the last class period of each month prior. Continuing students do not need to re-register. One month’s fee is required in advance, to guarantee your space for the month. Any questions about fees, please contact Carolyn Scalan.

Make up Policy

No make-ups will be scheduled unless it is a dire emergency. Please notify me in advance if your child will not be able to make it. If it is an emergency or the child is sick, then we will schedule a make up, if I am notified before class starts that day. Please call me as far as possible in advance to notify me if you cannot make it. I appreciate your respecting my time. This takes planning and I block out time for your child in my schedule. This is how I support my family income and I plan for it monthly.
